The board of the GREECE PERFORMING ARTS SOCIETY (GPAS) has appointed Gary Samulski Director of the GREECE CONCERT BAND for the 2008 spring season.

Mr. Samulski an award-winning music educator, has taught for 31 years, including the past 17 years at Greece Athena.

Mr. Samulski , currently Chairman and Director of Bands at Greece Athena High School, was Honeoye Central School band director 1980-89. He also worked with the Honeoye Falls Concert Band.

When not at home with his family in East Rochester, Gary is a national judge of School Band Competitions.

With Buffalo’s Melody Fair House Orchestra he has played trombone for shows including Paul Anka, Engelbert Humperdink, Tom Jones and many others Also he is the musical director and Trombonist with The East Rochester All-star Band.

Mr. Samulski will meet and rehearse the band beginning Tues 11 March 2008 at 7 pm at Arcadia HS Band Room 120 Island Cottage Road (the same time and location as usual)
